Dr. Ian Slater

Student Success & Culture

Driven by a passion that higher education be a catalyst for students’ personal and community transformation, Ian has served for more than 15 years in leadership roles spanning student success and retention, student affairs, and enrollment management, in such positions as Vice President for Student Life, AVP for the Student Experience, Director of Enrollment Management, and Dean of Students.

With a deep commitment to mission-centered leadership, organizational sustainability, and transformative student impact, Ian’s focus is helping small colleges and universities be comprehensively student-centered.

An alumnus of Asbury University, Ian earned his B.A. in Applied Communication, M.A. in Higher Education from Geneva College and Ph.D. in Higher Education from Azusa Pacific University.

Ian, his wife Rachel, their four children, and dozen hens make their home in snowy western New York.

Dr. Joshua Arnold

Leadership Development & Coaching

Over the past 20+ years, Joshua has served at scrappy, nimble, small-to-midsized colleges and universities in executive-level (VP) roles that steward the student experience in admissions, athletics, and student affairs. He was deeply impacted by the transformative power of whole-person education as a theology major at Life Pacific University.

Joshua went on to earn an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Golden Gate University, and his M.Ed. in Student Affairs and Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership & Management at Regent University, where he continues to serve as an adjunct professor, dissertation chair, and mentor coach. He remains active in leadership roles with several national organizations representing the professional practice of Student Affairs.

Joshua and his family have sworn off the snowy winters of their Midwestern roots and happily reside in sunny Southern California.
